Reefer Technician

WE ARE LOOKING FOR THIS POSITION We are seeking a Reefer Technician for immediate employment at our terminal in Nuuk, where the work primarily takes place at the terminal. You will report to the Team Leader of the PTI department and become part of a team of 3 employees in the PTI department, 10 employees in the workshop, and 8 colleagues at our ports in Aasiaat and Sisimiut – all of whom solve complex and challenging tasks that ultimately play a significant role in the satisfaction of our customers and partners.

Your tasks and challenges

You will be responsible for preparing refrigerated and frozen containers, performing repairs and maintenance on refrigerated/frozen containers, as well as on other electrical equipment of the shipping company, thereby helping to ensure that our customers receive their refrigerated/frozen goods in proper condition.

Your primary tasks are:

• To perform service, repair, and maintenance of refrigeration/freezer containers
• Operation of the monitoring system Refcon
• Help with support and operation of RAL's fixed cooling/freezing systems in Nuuk.
• Co-responsible for the maintenance of the PTI warehouse together with the others in the department.
• Participate in the duty roster with the others in the department.
• Other incidental work, including assistance to other departments when necessary.

• You have a background as an electrician, electronics technician, or refrigeration installer, or equivalent.
• You are a skilled craftsman and are trained in electrical engineering fields/refrigeration technician and have experience in the area.
• You are independent, determined, and have a sense of order.
• You are flexible regarding working hours.
• You have IT knowledge at user level (Microsoft Office suite)
• You are very welcome to be bilingual (Greenlandic and Danish) and have a good knowledge of English.

You naturally have the ability to create structure and overview for yourself and others. You are helpful and efficient, and you manage to maintain motivation both in quiet and busy periods, where some travel activity is also to be expected.
