Supervising Educational Consultant

Would you like to help develop and ensure the quality of our many daycare services? Now is your chance. We are looking for a supervising educational consultant. We focus on quality development in daycare centers based on the KIDS model. Your main task will be to conduct inspections using KIDS three times a year in our 25 daycare centers, 8 childminding services, and 3 private daycare centers. Our goal is to ensure that all children have the best opportunities for development. The administration works towards goals of creating curious, resilient, healthy, and happy children; having Greenland's best daycare centers and schools that accommodate all children; and having qualified and visionary staff who understand and fulfill their responsibilities. As a supervising educational consultant, you will help ensure this. Your responsibilities include conducting inspections using KIDS three times a year in 28 daycare centers located in Nuuk, Paamiut, Tasiilaq, and Ittoqqortoormiit, as well as our 8 childminding services in Arsuk, Qeqertarsuatsiaat, Kapisillit, Kuummiit, Kulusuk, Isertoq, Sermiligaaq, and Tiilerilaaq. We expect you to be proactive in seeking new knowledge in the field and able to convey the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical experience; to manage and coordinate your work within the broad field of daycare services; and to be able to travel alone to Paamiut, Tasiilaq, Ittoqqortoormiit, Arsuk, Qeqertarsuatsiaat, Kapisillit, Kuummiit, Kulusuk, Isertoq, Sermiligaaq, and Tiilerilaaq. Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Professional qualifications include being a trained educator, preferably supplemented with a KIDS certification. This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal record and child protection certificate. Employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory certificates. Therefore, the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child protection certificate from the national police and the criminal record from the police. The child protection certificate is obtained by the municipality with the individual's consent, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police. Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
