Arctic Hub is looking for a communications consultant with experience in strategic communication, press, and social media. You will be responsible for communication tasks, platforms, and press management. The position is based in Nuuk and requires strong language skills in Greenlandic, English, and Danish, as well as insight into Arctic research.

Arctic Hub is a hub for Arctic research and is locally anchored in Nuuk. One of our core tasks is to bridge the gap between research and society, and communication plays a crucial role in this.
Communication and press management
As a communications consultant at Arctic Hub, you will be the driving force behind the secretariat's communication tasks, communication platforms, and press management.
You will be responsible for maintaining our website and social media. You will also be responsible for press management, which involves writing and selling stories targeted at relevant audiences, media, and other relevant platforms. Additionally, you should be able to prepare the secretariat leader and board for meetings with the press and handle incoming inquiries from national and international press and media.
Communication and coordination
The communications consultant is also responsible for idea development and overseeing our article and video productions. This means you will generate ideas, write articles, and simultaneously coordinate and act as a link to our associated freelancers (writers, photographers, translators, graphic designers, etc.).
You will also be responsible for communication tasks during the planning and coordination of our ongoing communication events, such as: Workshops, after-work meetings, and at our communication competition Paasisavut.

We would like you to:
- has a relevant educational background – for example in communication or journalism.
- works strategically with communication, has a knack for a good story, and is skilled in journalistic tools.
- has experience with social media and press management.
- can communicate at a high level in writing and speaking in Greenlandic, English, and Danish.
- has insight into or interest in Arctic research, as well as a good knowledge of the social and political conditions in Greenland.
- is proactive and can work independently as well as with others.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Applicants with the appropriate verifiable professional qualifications may potentially be employed as a specialist or chief consultant after prior agreement.
Housing
No staff housing is allocated for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the allocated staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
