We are looking for a dedicated project manager for Arctic Hub, who will enhance the role of research in society and develop collaboration between research, authorities, education, business, and citizens in Greenland. You will work on projects and events that promote collaboration and contribute to fundraising and the development of new funding opportunities.

About the position
As a project manager at Arctic Hub, you will have the opportunity to work closely on some of the most important research and societal agendas in the Arctic and contribute to developing collaborations between local, national, and international actors. At Arctic Hub, we collaborate with everyone from individual researchers and engaged citizens to international research institutions.
Your tasks will include:

Development, initiation, and implementation of projects and events that strengthen collaboration between research, education, administration, business, and the public.

Independent responsibility for project management from idea to implementation and reporting, including Arctic Hubs activities under the EU program Green Growth.

Internal and external coordination of administrative tasks as well as preparation of material for the secretariat leader and the board.

Representation of Arctic Hub at relevant conferences, networks, and meetings – both in and outside of Greenland.

Contribute to fundraising and the development of new financing opportunities
Travel activity in Greenland and abroad can be expected as agreed.
You will report to the head of the secretariat and become part of a small, dedicated team.
Your qualifications
You do not need to meet all the points below, but we expect that you can see yourself in most of them:

relevant academic education – but curiosity and the right experience can also take you far

thrives in a dynamic everyday life with very varied tasks – from desk work to representation in Greenland, Denmark, and internationally

has experience with project work and/or project management

has good communication skills in Greenlandic, Danish, and English

has knowledge of Arctic research as well as the social and political conditions in Greenland – or a desire to learn about it

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor can occur in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
