About Ippiarsuk:

Ippiarsuk is a nursing home with space for 34 residents and an Activity Center with 35 day users. The residents are distributed across 3 departments, with 11-11-12 residents in each department. The staff at Ippiarsuk have the following qualifications: Nurses, Health Assistants, Health Helpers, and unskilled workers. In addition to our 3 departments, the facility includes an Activity Center, Kitchen, Laundry, Administration, Caretaker, and Driver. At Ippiarsuk, we have just over 70 employees. In addition to our 3 departments, we also have a department called Pakkutaq, which falls under the area of Disability and Social Psychiatry.

The working hours are full-time at 40 hours per week, including day/evening and night shifts, as well as shifts every 2 weekends.

We expect:

• That you are a trained healthcare assistant is equivalent.
• That you are professionally well-founded with broad clinical experience.
• That you are responsible.
• That you can participate in mixed shifts
• That you preferably are bilingual, but no obstacle.
• That you have good interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• That you are flexible and positive.
• That you have the desire and interest to work in the field of elderly care.
• That you will participate in teaching and take on the role of a mentor for the students.
• That you will contribute to creating a positive, creative, inspiring, and developmental environment.
• Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

As a healthcare assistant with us, you will play a central role in ensuring high professional quality and security in the citizens' daily lives. You will work independently and professionally with nursing tasks, including medication dosing, observations, and documentation. We are looking for someone who is professionally strong, calm, and resilient in a busy everyday life – and who can maintain an overview, even when unforeseen situations arise.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
