Professional Secretary

Peqqinnissaq Pillugu Kattuffiit (PPK) and Peqqissaasut Kattuffiat (PK) are seeking a professional secretary with vision and commitment. The position involves guidance and advice for the political leadership and members of both PPK and PK. You will work with administration, guidance, and advice, creating coherence for the chairpersons in PPK and PK as well as for the members.

You are strong in the analytical field, can develop strategies and translate them into actions that benefit PPK's and PK's members, both in the areas of working environment, employment, and administrative law.

You have an understanding and knowledge of guidance in employment and administrative law, can act proactively, and work independently.

You have knowledge/gain knowledge of and experience with working in a professional political organization, you can define and clarify the overall framework and have a good sense of the political

priorities in the tasks.

Areas of responsibility:

Support for PPK and PK chairpersons as well as boards, including negotiations -

legal and political advice and collaboration.

General and specific case processing in relation to the organization's specific professional groups.

Personnel, employment, and administrative legal guidance and case processing.

Close collaboration with chairpersons, union representatives, and workplace environment representatives in

relation to the respective organizations.

General administration, e.g., with IT, membership administration, the secretariat, etc.

Bookkeeping and payment of invoices as the primary approver, as well as assistance during audits.

Qualifications and competencies:

Relevant educational background, preferably nursing or health-related at diploma, master's, or graduate level.

Preferably with knowledge of personnel, employment, and administrative law.

Experience working in a professional political organization is an advantage.

Can work analytically, structured, and innovatively, while also maintaining focus on the broader picture.

Could collaborate with the chairperson of PPK and PK in a relatively small secretariat.

Interviews are expected in weeks 8 and 9 of 2026, with a view to employment from May 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Salary and employment conditions according to applicable agreements between the Government of Greenland and the respective trade union.

Housing cannot be provided for the position.

Upon permanent employment, free relocation travel and moving expenses are provided for the employee and their spouse or equivalent, as well as dependent children under 18 years old, from their residence to the residence in Nuuk, and after 3 years of employment, one is entitled to free departure travel and moving expenses back.
