Communication and Event Coordinator

A Communication and Event Coordinator is sought for Niuernermik Ilinniarfik in Nuuk. You will work with visual and creative communication, event management, and strategic branding. We are looking for a person with relevant education and experience in communication, marketing, or event management. The position is desired to be filled by February 1, 2026.

Niuernermik Ilinniarfik / Greenland Business School is a well-established dynamic educational institution under the Greenlandic Self-Government, offering a range of programs in close collaboration with businesses and public authorities. NI/GBS focuses on new programs and development initiatives aimed at strengthening our ambition to attract students, as well as meeting the business sector's need for competent labor.

Your tasks:

As a communication and event employee, you will play a central role in planning and executing the school's communication and events. You will work closely with management, educators, and external partners, contributing to strengthening GBS's brand and relationships in a Greenlandic educational and business context.

Areas of responsibility are:

  • Planning, coordination, and execution of events (e.g., conferences, open houses, graduations, guest lectures)
  • Preparation and execution of communication initiatives
  • Production of content for website, newsletters, and social media
  • Press and media management in collaboration with management
  • Graphic light work and coordination with external suppliers
  • Practical and administrative support for events

We wish:

  • You have a relevant higher education in communication, marketing, or event management.
  • Has experience in planning and executing events.
  • You have an eye for telling "the good stories" and creating exciting and creative content and articles.
  • Works in a structured, independent manner
  • You are a creative person with an eye for visual details and a passion for creating exciting content and campaigns that engage and involve the target audience.
  • Mastering Greenlandic and Danish - both orally and in writing

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned housing is retained. The housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
