Educator at Tunguusaq Daycare

We are seeking an educator for the Tunguusaq Daycare. REPOST: We need an educator to start on February 1, 2026, or by agreement. The daycare is designed for 44 children aged 0-6 years, with a total staff of 12, including the manager. There are four daycares in Qaqortoq, and the managers work well together, emphasizing mutual support as needed. Qaqortoq is a peaceful and charming town with various activities throughout the year. As a qualified educator, you will be responsible for: • Upholding the house's purpose • Initiatives related to Act No. 16 of December 3, 2012 • Active collaboration with parents • Monitoring and updating educational practices • Being cooperative, mentally and physically resilient • Setting boundaries • Guiding problem-solving • Coordinating in busy situations • Having management experience • Being loving and dedicated to children. This position is subject to the law on obtaining a certificate of non-criminal record with children. According to the law, employment can only commence after the municipality receives the certificate. The certificate will be part of the municipality's assessment of who will be appointed to the position. Employment and salary will be according to the current agreement between the Self-Government and the Association of Educated Educators.
