The Dandelion Center is seeking an engaged cook for the Activity Center. The position is full-time with varying hours. Responsibilities include meal planning, shopping, and cooking with the children. The Activity Center is a hub for the city's children and youth. We offer a creative and developmental work environment with employee benefits. The Dandelion Center is seeking a warm-hearted and dedicated "food mother" for the Day Center, to start as soon as possible.
It is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. The working hours will vary from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM from Sunday to Thursday.
The tasks will be:
· prepare meal plans
· to shop for food
· to cook together with the children at the drop-in center
· to keep statistics on children who eat
The Dandelion Center is an independent institution that consists of the Children's and Youth House Dandelion, the Living Unit Ilasiaq, the Living Unit Allu, the Living Unit Aili, and an administration.
The activity center has been closed for about a year due to renovations and extensions, but is now reopening in completely new premises located next to the Children's and Youth House Mælkebøtten and the Bo-unit Aili. The activity center is a place where all the city's children and young people are welcome. Here, there are activities such as board games, online games, drawing, beadwork, jewelry making, sewing, etc., and every day, meals are served for those children who want to eat with us. The activity center is currently open from Sunday to Thursday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and closed on Friday and Saturday.
We are looking for a "food mother" who, together with the other staff, warmly welcomes those who come to the Day Center and involves the children in the activities.
