We are expanding our team and seeking an HR consultant for Personnel & Law in the Self-Government. You will work with personnel case processing, employment contracts, and advice on agreements. The position offers the opportunity to influence and develop workflows in the team. We are looking for a colleague with good collaboration skills and experience in the field.
SEARCH THIS POSITION We are expanding our team - Would you like to be part of our team, where we service the central administration and its underlying units? We are a good team consisting of HR consultants and lawyers covering the personnel administrative area within both the central administration and the healthcare sector. We are now looking for 1 HR consultant with a preliminary placement in the team that works with the Central Administration, starting on September 1, 2026, or by further agreement.
We work with the handling of personnel matters, where we, among other things, prepare employment contracts for the entire Greenland Self-Government, the underlying units, and the healthcare system. In addition, we advise and guide the leaders on collective agreements and contracts.
The Office for Personnel & Law consists of 13 personnel consultants, 3 personnel lawyers, and 2 office managers.
Your primary work tasks
We are looking for a personnel consultant who will work broadly within the department's task management. The department is currently under development, where we are working to create greater dynamics between those working in the health sector and those working in the rest of the central administrative area. Therefore, the position also offers the opportunity to make an impact and contribute to the development of workflows within the team.
The primary tasks will be:

Personnel case processing in relation to employment, including specifically the preparation of employment contracts and various correspondence.

Entry of salary, allowances, and terminations

Processing of civil servant pension

Advising and interpreting within civil service legislation and other regulations in the employment law area.

Interpretation of agreements
If you have an interest in and an eye for streamlining workflows, processes, etc., this will particularly be an advantage.
We are looking for colleagues who have:

A degree as a bachelor, professional bachelor, or is trained in office administration.

Experience from similar positions is an advantage, but you can also be a recent graduate.

Good at collaborating, sparring, and sharing your knowledge with colleagues.

Not afraid to take on a challenge and see it through to the end.

Good verbal and written communication skills at a high level.

It is an advantage if you have good numerical understanding and understanding of legal/economic risks.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of Greenlandic societal conditions and culture, and it will be a clear benefit if you are proficient in the Greenlandic language.

Diplomatic, service-minded, and friendly by nature

Salary and employment conditions

Housing
No housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned housing is retained. The housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
