Nukissiorfiit in Kangerlussuaq is looking for a competent employee for the position of Chairman. You will work in one or more areas within electricity, water, and heating both production and distribution, depending on where your interest/experience lies. We are 2 engineers, 3 employees. We have a common personnel policy, meaning we work where needed across departments. Nature is a big part of everyday life in Kangerlussuaq, where there are good opportunities for dog sledding, snowmobiling, and skiing in winter, while in the summer season there are plenty of hiking trails, hunting, and easy access to Kangerlussuaq's vast hinterland. Life in Kangerlussuaq is different from the usual big city, and the street scene is not adorned with cafes and the like. Therefore, it is a great opportunity to try life in the wilderness if you are interested in that.

Within our production areas, your main tasks will be: To participate in the tasks of the production areas within operation, maintenance, and development ensuring optimization, follow-up, and control of the associated distribution network. Participate in project and documentation tasks.

We are looking for you, who has:

technical education, e.g. as a Blacksmith, Plumber.

Experience with digital operation and maintenance systems. You are aware of working in an industry where acute challenges can arise that need to be solved with adaptability. Furthermore, you know how important a high level of service and quality is for our customers.

Employment conditions

Salary and employment according to relevant and applicable collective agreement. There is a 3-month probation period. We offer unfurnished staff housing according to applicable rules. If you already have staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to this will be retained. However, it can be expected that one will be accommodated in a vacant housing for the first 6 months of employment. Free travel for arrival and departure is provided according to applicable rules.
