The Digitalization Agency is looking for an IT support trainee to provide support to the Self-Government. The tasks include setting up machines, troubleshooting, and collaborating with colleagues. We offer a developing workplace with the opportunity for school stays in Denmark.
The Digital Agency is looking for IT support apprentices.
The support covers tasks for the entire Self-Government.
Are you the person who can help your colleagues with their IT problems and always have a smile on your face – even when things get busy – then you might be the right one to become an IT support apprentice with us.
The Digital Agency provides support and operational assistance to all colleagues in the Self-Government and to some extent also to external partners and other public authorities – and we need more hands on deck.
Who are we?
The Digital Agency sets the direction for a secure digital future for Greenlandic society and leads the development of secure, standardized digital solutions. At the Digital Agency, we work both on the digitalization of Greenland and the IT operations of Greenland's Self-Government.
This means that we manage and implement projects ranging from self-service solutions for citizens to changes in our IT infrastructure to support for laptops, mobile phones, etc., so the tasks will be diverse.
We are about 30 colleagues in the agency who not only collaborate but also help each other across disciplines.
We are looking for you who…
- Are positively inclined
- Are good at collaborating – both with people you know and those you have yet to meet
- Have determination – even when the to-do list grows
- Are eager to learn new things and meet new people
- May have experience with IT support from previous jobs.
Your tasks will include...
- Setting up new machines
- Creating user accounts
- Preparing documentation
- Issuing access cards
- Troubleshooting
- Collaborating with colleagues and external consultants
- Inventory management
- And much more
…all within Greenland's largest organization.
We envision that you…
- Think that structure and documentation are more friend than foe
- Can work in teams with different disciplines without losing overview
- Can assist anyone who reaches out – and otherwise take their inquiry and find the right colleague who can help
- Are loyal to colleagues and our goals
- Speak and write Greenlandic, Danish, and English - but this is not a requirement.
If you do not have experience with IT support, we still have the opportunity to offer you an apprenticeship – so do not hesitate to apply if you come without experience, as long as you have determination and motivation to learn.
The education will include school stays in Denmark typically 3-4 months at a time - followed by 3-4 months at the apprenticeship at the Digital Agency in Nuuk.
We offer
- A workplace where development – both professional and personal – is a natural part of everyday life
- Colleagues who take both work and community seriously
Salary and employment conditions
You will receive a training agreement with the Digital Agency and apprentice salary during the education.
Application and interviews
Application deadline: December 31, 2026. We will conduct interviews continuously and accept apprentices when we have found the right candidates.
We expect the first school stay to start in March 2027
The school stays will take place in Denmark
