Nuussuup Atuarfia is a tiered school with 385 students in grades 1-10 and a dynamic, engaged, and stable teaching staff of 42 educators. The school has students in 18 regular classes and 5 special classes, where students perform very well academically.

Teacher's hours:

We need a class teacher for grade 1 who can teach the subjects: Personal development, Greenlandic, Danish, English, mathematics, home economics, physical education, and local choices.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

Housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties, etc. in Greenland. If permanent housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees with the right to temporary housing will be offered a temporary housing solution, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above. The start date depends on when there is housing available. A relocation travel allowance and moving expenses will be provided according to applicable rules.
