Gammeqarfik is a school with approximately 420 students and 37 teachers and works in departmental division.
The school Gammeqarfik is looking for 5 teachers.
Employment from November 1, 2026, or by agreement
Positions to be filled by teachers must be able to teach in:
1 teacher for the middle level in subjects: English, Danish, personal development, religion, social studies/history, and Greenlandic
2 teachers for the senior level in subjects: Personal development, Greenlandic, Mathematics, Physical Education, History/Social Studies, Religion Philosophy, and Natural Science.
2 teachers for the youngest special class in subjects: non-subject teaching and language subjects

Employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Government of Greenland and the Teachers' Union for Greenlandic Schools, IMAK. Applicants coming from a civil servant position will retain the right to this form of employment.
Criminal and child certificate:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.
Housing:
There will be staff housing available for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties, etc. in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be provided immediately upon commencement, temporary staff housing will be offered to employees entitled to vacation housing, for which A-tax will be paid for free benefits in accordance with applicable legislation.
OR The start date is dependent on when a staff housing becomes available. A relocation travel and moving of belongings will be provided in accordance with applicable rules.
A staff housing must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
