Atuarfik Hans Lynge is located at the end of Nuuk city, in Qinngorput. The school is situated in a beautiful natural area with mountains, waterfalls, and lakes. Atuarfik Hans Lynge is a modern school that was opened at the start of the school year in 2011. The school contains all classrooms as well as modern furnishings and IT equipment, such as iPads and Apple TV.
The school has grades 1-10, which are run in 2 and 3 streams. Currently, there are 497 students and 41 teachers.
There is a well-functioning staff, a positive and dialogue-based school & home collaboration, clear and visible leadership with good parent collaboration relationships in everyday life.

Criminal and Child Certificate:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
Housing:
There will be staff housing available for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the rules for rent payment in the properties of the Government of Greenland and the municipality. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, temporary staff housing will be offered to employees entitled to vacation housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff housing is available. A relocation travel allowance and moving expenses will be provided according to the applicable rules.
