The Family Department in Qaanaaq is looking for a caseworker for children, youth, and families. The position involves case management for foster parents and placed children, as well as collaboration with other caseworkers. A degree in social work and the ability to work interdisciplinary are required.
Family department seeks caseworker for children, youth, and families
Position as caseworker for children, youth, and families in the Family department Qaanaaq.
The caseworker for the Family department is located in Qaanaaq and must work for the city and the associated settlements.
The caseworker's immediate supervisor is the department head for the area in Qaanaaq.
Priorities of case processing for the caseworker for children, youth, and families:
- Case processing for foster parents, placed children, and emergency placements
- To assess and process reports of ordinary reportable and aggravated reportable cases in collaboration with other caseworkers
- Caseworker using GetOrganized
- If necessary, you should be able to assist with e.g.: case processing of public assistance
- Case processing for children, youth, and family department. Case processing for the disability area
- That you participate in the on-call arrangement which is rotating, also on weekends at the times 16:00-00:00, 00:00-08:00 (social and backup)
Competencies:
- Educated as a Social Worker
- Can work administratively
- To be able to collaborate interdisciplinary.
- Cooperative / stable / can maintain confidentiality
- Mentally strong
- To be able to work according to legislation within the social area
- To be able to work overtime upon request
- To be able to keep time
- To be able to follow the rules for the department
There is no staff housing in connection with the employment
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary - and employment conditions, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
