Center Manager for Steno Diabetes Center Greenland
Do you have a health professional background with experience in management in a broad sense, clinical experience with lifestyle diseases, as well as a good mood and drive, and do you want to be part of the further development of the latest clinical area in the Greenlandic Healthcare System – while also becoming part of the healthcare system's other leadership team – then the opportunity is here now.
As center manager for Steno Diabetes Center Greenland (SDCG), you have the overall responsibility for driving the development of the center. The work takes place in close management collaboration with the center's office manager and in an exciting interdisciplinary team. You will have the overall responsibility for the development and delivery of high-quality health services to all with diabetes, COPD, and hypertension throughout the country, implementation of physical and digital patient education offerings, strengthening the research environment around SDCG, as well as quality assurance and competence development of staff.
The center develops and offers as part of the Greenlandic Healthcare System activities that benefit all citizens in the country – regardless of residence. A central and fundamental element in the realization of SDCG is a strengthened telemedicine effort, which should benefit all citizens in Greenland.
You report to SDCG’s board as well as to the Healthcare System's management. Regarding overarching strategic matters concerning the center and the Novo Nordisk Foundation's grant, you report to SDCG’s board. Regarding matters that involve the center's daily relations with relevant areas in the rest of the Healthcare System, the center manager reports to the Greenlandic Healthcare System's management via the medical director.

We are looking for a health professional leader with:
- Experience in management in a broad sense, including project management with economic and research dimensions
- Experience with development and implementation tasks within the health sector
- Insight into and preferably clinical and/or research experience related to diabetes, COPD, and hypertension.
- Strong personal qualities and preferably knowledge of the Greenlandic Healthcare System
- Interest in developing and optimizing all aspects of quality in clinical work
- Commitment to developing, testing, and implementing new initiatives
- Pragmatic approach to solutions and a good mood
- Inspiring attitude towards open and equal interdisciplinary collaboration
- Motivation to contribute to the personal and professional development of other staff
- Knowledge of – or desire to learn about – Greenland as well as Greenlandic culture and language
About us:
Steno Diabetes Center Greenland (SDCG) was established on July 1, 2020, as an integrated part of the Healthcare System in Greenland. SDCG is established with support from the Novo Nordisk Foundation and is jointly funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Government of Greenland.
Our vision is to improve the general health and quality of life for all people in the country with diabetes and selected lifestyle-related diseases such as high blood pressure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The focus is on treatment and patient education, research, cross-disciplinary collaboration, competence development, telemedicine, and quality.
The team consists of a center management and an interdisciplinary combination of administrative, health professional, and research staff and will be gradually expanded in the coming years. Steno Diabetes Center Greenland is located in a newly built center building near Queen Ingrid's Hospital and Health Center.

Housing
Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Healthcare System at any given time.
Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Candidates who possess additional qualifications beyond those specified above, such as relevant diplomas or education at the master's level, may be entitled to additional remuneration in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the company's guidelines.

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
