Majoriaq Nanortalik is looking for a subject teacher/counselor to be employed on November 1, 2026, or by agreement. The position involves teaching, planning courses, and providing guidance. Knowledge of the education system and good collaboration skills are necessary.

Subject Teacher/Counselor for Majoriaq Nanortalik

Majoriaq Nanortalik is staffed with 1 department head who is also the center manager, 2 subject teachers/counselors, 3 administrative staff, and 1 dormitory manager.
The Subject Teacher/Counselor must perform the following main tasks:
- To teach in FA programs & non-academic programs
- Plan and conduct qualification courses (FA programs/non-academic programs)
- Scheduling, absence registration, accounting for teacher hours
- Conducting assessments of applicants for FA programs
- Making registrations in IT-reg
- Providing educational counseling/employment counseling
We expect you to:
- Have completed the educational & career counselor training or equivalent professional competence approved by Naalakkersuisut
- Have a relevant education and preferably experience in some of the work areas.
- Be able to work independently and systematically
- Be service-oriented with good collaboration skills and a good mood
- Master Greenlandic, English & Danish
- Have knowledge of the education system
Employment and remuneration will be in accordance with AK's functional agreement for persons employed in the Government of Greenland and the Greenlandic municipalities.
Housing will be provided for the position, for which rent etc. will be paid according to applicable rules.
Kommune Kujalleq covers the travel and relocation expenses associated with the employment for the employee and their family.
