Warehouse Worker for the Central Warehouse at Queen Ingrid's Hospital

The Central Warehouse at Queen Ingrid's Hospital in Nuuk is looking for two experienced warehouse workers focused on stable daily operations, a high level of service, and efficient task resolution.

The department has nationwide delivery of consumables as its area of responsibility, where special logistical conditions apply and the infrastructure is complex. The goal for daily work is the shortest possible delivery time, correct delivery, and optimal inventory management.

We offer:

A position with good development opportunities, where a significant part of the task resolution involves coordination and planning, including with Danish-speaking colleagues, suppliers, and partners to solve the daily operational tasks.

We have just implemented a new purchasing and inventory system, and you will play an active role in further developing the use of the system in relation to optimizing our supply chain.

  • Receiving goods – Systematic as well as practical, including emptying containers
  • Delivering goods to the hospital's departments
  • Coordinating and delivering patient-related treatment and nutrition products
  • Shipments including coffins, biological samples, including planning, correct packaging, and booking of freight
  • Ensuring correct inventory management and optimal utilization of capacity
  • Collaboration with the healthcare sector's Finance and Purchasing Department in Nuuk and the Greenland Department of Region North Jutland in Aalborg
  • Various warehouse tasks as needed

We are looking for you who:

  • Has an education in warehouse, logistics, supply chains, or several years of professional experience with warehouse operations, including receiving goods and shipments.
  • Speaks and writes Danish and preferably bilingual Danish/Greenlandic.
  • Is an experienced user of IT systems.
  • Is responsible, service-minded, and serious, including being a good example for colleagues and employees.
  • Is solution-oriented, good at structuring and planning with a good overview.
  • Has a valid large vehicle license (category C), as the position involves transporting and delivering goods.

Salary and employment

Working hours are 40 hours weekly

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Candidates who possess supplementary qualifications beyond those specified above, such as relevant diploma or master's levels, may be entitled to additional remuneration in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the company's guidelines.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
