Kitchen Assistant

Our production kitchen in Brugseni Nuuk is looking for a skilled chef, nutrition assistant, caterer, or kitchen helper for our kitchen. Would you like to work with fresh Greenlandic ingredients such as reindeer, musk ox, and whale as well as all the ingredients you already know? Then this might be the position for you.

We are one of Greenland's largest retail chains, and our stores are always filled with good activity and happy people.

You will be part of our delicatessen department, which consists of a kitchen, sales counter, and a café as well as 4 departments outside the house. In addition to our own production for the store, we also prepare food for several different occasions.

Our kitchen is a happy and multicultural department where 4 languages are spoken. Your future colleagues come from Greenland, Denmark, the Philippines, and Thailand.

The store has about 160 employees, including 1 kitchen manager, 2 chefs, 1 caterer, and 1 nutrition assistant as well as 8 kitchen helpers. There are about 30 employees in the entire delicatessen department. The department is an open area and is part of the store, so customer service is a big part of daily life.

Tasks

• Production of various product types, from both the hot and cold kitchen
• Cleaning and dishwashing
• Other miscellaneous kitchen work

Your profile

• Trained in the kitchen or documented several years of experience
• Good at juggling multiple tasks
• Quality and responsibility conscious
• Good physical condition, as the job is physically demanding
• Understanding of cultural differences
