Ilisimatusarfik is seeking an AC officer/consultant for Student Services. The position involves the administration of students' educational processes and collaboration with various stakeholders. Qualifications include a higher education degree, experience with legal case processing, and strong IT skills.

The position is available for occupancy from November 1, 2026, or as soon as possible by agreement. The working hours are 40 hours a week.
About the study service:
The administration of Ilisimatusarfik, of which the Study Service is a part, plays a very important role in the organization and helps support students, teachers, colleagues, citizens, and partners. Therefore, one must be able to engage in tasks across different areas. It is important that you see your role in relation to a group of different people, but keep in mind that first and foremost we are here for our students - and we are here when they need help.
We have 12 employees in the Study Service to serve approximately 600 students spread across 12 programs.
Your tasks:
Administration of students' educational pathways - from admission to graduation
Monitoring of study progress / earning ECTS credits
Management of educational support in collaboration with the Department of Education
Administration and guidance regarding educational support and travel
Participation in the development of work processes and case handling
Assist the head of studies with development tasks, interpretation of legislation,
analysis tasks, etc.
Ad hoc tasks
The IT programs we use daily are Lectio, WISEflow, It-reg, Mit-perspektiv. It is a great advantage, but not a requirement, to have knowledge of one or more of the programs beforehand.
Qualifications:
Higher education, preferably legal
Experience in legal case handling as well as extensive knowledge of IT systems
Greenlandic at native level as well as Danish and English
Experience from a similar position is an advantage, but not a requirement
Strong system competencies
Independent, systematic, and structured
Positive approach to all tasks
There is a considerable amount of interpretation and case handling in the job, so you must be able to independently relate to legislation and make decisions.

About Ilisimatusarfik
Ilisimatusarfik, the University of Greenland, was established in 1987 and currently offers 13 different programs including some part-time programs at both diploma and master's level. Ilisimatusarfik is an Arctic university that creates knowledge and innovation in a rapidly developing region. The board is the university's highest management. The daily management is handled by the rector and the university director. The four institutes are led by an institute leader, who is advised by an institute council.

About the Joint Administration
The Joint Administration serves the entire university. It is led by the university director. The Joint Administration has departments in Ilimmarfik. The departments work closely with the academic units but also collaborate with each other. The tasks of the Joint Administration are: study administration, personnel administration, servicing the board and the Academic Council, as well as other service functions for the university's employees and students. The Joint Administration is also responsible for the building operations of Ilimmarfik.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and departure travel and moving of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right documented competencies, employment can take place as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
3 months probation period
In this position, there is a 3-month probation period.
