We are looking for a porter-rescuer for a temporary position in Nuuk from October 2026 to March 2027. The position involves pre-hospital work and patient transport. You must have a relevant education and be proficient in Greenlandic and Danish.

The position is available from October 2026 to March 2027.

We are looking for you who: 

  • Of course, have an educational background in the "Paramedic profession" 
  • Are stable in attendance, so colleagues can rely on you 
  • Master Greenlandic and Danish in speech to daily needs, and that you have a reasonable knowledge of Nuuk 

About us: 

  • The Porter Paramedic Central DIH has a staffing of 21 full-time employees, most of whom are trained porters today 
  • There is a 12-hour shift system, as well as a 4-hour shift for a total working week of 40 hours 
  • The work consists of ambulance driving at the request of the emergency room, which is located under the medical clinic, as well as variable tasks internally at DIH such as waste management, patient transport regarding departments and treatment plans, handling of the deceased and chapel, where autopsy tasks also occur 
  • In addition, a service-oriented attitude towards everything around you is an important thing.

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permits can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
