About the position

Customer Technology consists of six technicians and one department manager, who reports to the head of Operate.

The department is part of the Operate function under the company's technical division and deals with preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of transmission equipment – including broadcast equipment and VHF radios – at local telephone stations as well as in towns and settlements around the country.

The position therefore naturally involves a fair amount of travel during the construction season – primarily by helicopter, charter ship, regular plane, or ship.

Tusass follows the constant development where the demands for telecommunications are becoming increasingly greater. The T&I division has formulated an ambitious and targeted strategy that includes several project initiatives to meet these demands.

As our new colleague, you will have ample opportunity to develop your technical skills through work with, among other things, radio telephony, DVB-T transmitters, HF and VHF communication equipment for coastal and aircraft radio as well as technical support for Naviair.

You will also participate in project work related to construction projects in the area.

We are looking for someone who…

Has a technical education in electronics, e.g., as an electronics technician or electronics technologist, or has acquired equivalent competencies through relevant experience with operation and troubleshooting of technical systems.

• Have a strong sense of responsibility

• Are thorough and able to complete your tasks properly

• Are good at collaborating with colleagues – also via phone

• Are reliable and thrive in a sometimes busy everyday life

• Have knowledge of communication circuits (satellite, submarine cable, radio, telephone) and can analyze relationships between these

• Have a general knowledge of servers, routers, and switches

• Can speak and write Danish and English – Greenlandic is an advantage

• Can present a clean criminal record

Practical information

The workplace is in Nuuk at the Tusass headquarters at Farip Aqq. 8, 3900 Nuuk.

The position involves travel activity – primarily by helicopter, charter ship, regular plane, or ship.
