Inulerivik is looking for an experienced therapist for the new National Center for Therapy and Counseling in Nuuk. The position focuses on the treatment of children and young people who have experienced trauma. You will work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to improving the quality of life for the youth.

Inulerivik is looking for a therapist for children and young people who have experienced trauma, for the new National Center for Therapy and Counseling.

Are you an experienced therapist with an empathetic and professional approach to working with children and young people? Do you have skills in treating trauma related to violence, sexual abuse, loss, or suicide issues? Then you may be the right therapist for our team.

About the position:

The position involves working in a multidisciplinary and committed team focused on treatment and support for children and young people with traumatic experiences. You will use your therapeutic skills to facilitate treatment processes and support the young people's journey towards increased mastery and quality of life.

The position includes:

  • Conducting therapeutic processes individually and in groups with a focus on trauma treatment.
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating individual treatment efforts.
  • Multidisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration around the child/the young person.
  • Ongoing participation in supervision and professional sparring as part of quality assurance and development.

The position is anchored in the center, where employees from the former Citizen-Oriented Department in the Social Agency are included. You will be part of the Children and Youth area and report to the chief psychologist and the acting center leader. Inulerivik coordinates and delivers treatment efforts nationwide.

The practical:
The position is full-time (40 hours weekly) and is located in Nuuk. Some travel activity is expected in connection with the position.

Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary - and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
