We are looking for you who:

• Are a specialist with Danish specialist authorization within one of the internal medicine specialties, oncology, or general medicine.
• Have solid professional experience in internal medicine and a desire to work broadly.
• Thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration and have good collaboration and communication skills.
• Can create an overview and have a good logistical sense – even in complex patient pathways.
• Are willing to take responsibility for 1-2 subspecialties while also working broadly during shifts.
• Are passionate about supervision and professional development of training doctors.
• Have an interest in the Greenlandic Healthcare System and preferably experience working in Greenland.
• Have experience in broad internal medicine, neurology, or oncology – this is an advantage, but not a requirement.

About us:

• The Medical Area has an outpatient clinic, day ward, and 34 beds distributed across two inpatient wards as well as an integrated children's ward with eight beds.
• We have a Common Intermediate Unit (IMA) with six beds for close monitoring of patients with heart diseases and other acute illnesses.
• We receive patients from all over Greenland and treat both common and complex medical issues.
• We have patients at the Patient Hotel and participate in patient transports from regional hospitals.
• As a consultant, you will conduct rounds in the inpatient wards, IMA, and Patient Hotel as well as outpatient functions.
• You will advise doctors at regional hospitals and contribute to the supervision of training doctors.
• Consultants participate in 4-5 shift night duties, serving both Queen Ingrid's Hospital and the rest of Greenland.

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Healthcare System at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permits can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
