Ilisimatusarfik cafeteria is looking for a skilled and dedicated nutrition assistant/cafeteria assistant to prepare food for approximately 200 people daily. The position involves purchasing, catering for events, and collaborating with a diverse team. The working hours are 40 hours a week with flexible hours.
The Ilisimatusarfik cafeteria produces breakfast and lunch for about 200 people daily - both students, staff, and instructors who are present on the Ilimmarfik campus.
Your daily work will be alongside 1 kitchen manager and a total of 3 nutrition assistants/cafeteria assistants. Additionally, there will also be catering tasks for meeting activities - just as the Ilisimatusarfik cafeteria provides food for larger events such as receptions, graduations, etc.
There is also a purchasing and supply task, which is handled by the cafeteria staff, so the staff ensures that the kiosk is stocked.
Not least, you thrive on contact with a very diverse Campus Ilimmarfik group, all of whom have opinions and views on the food, taste, and appearance.
Perhaps you have experience from a similar position and will contribute with good ideas.
We offer a well-established workplace located on Campus Ilimmarfik. The kitchen is situated in the heart of the building.
We expect:
· That you are a trained nutrition assistant/cafeteria assistant or equivalent
· Can prepare healthy food for Ilisimatusarfik users with varying diets
· Reliable and able to work independently
· Can perform cleaning in the kitchen according to self-monitoring
· Willing to collaborate
· That you are welcoming and positive towards students, staff, and management
The working hours are 40 hours a week and will be flexibly scheduled between 7 AM and 3 PM on weekdays.
The position is desired to be filled by November 1, 2026, or as soon as possible by agreement.
