Nukissiorfiit is looking for a department manager for the accounts receivable department in Nuuk. The position involves management, quality assurance of accounts receivable care, and process development. We are seeking an engaged person with experience in finance and accounting who can contribute to sustainable solutions.

For commencement on October 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for an engaged and responsible department head for our accounts receivable department at the headquarters in Nuuk, who will contribute constructively to the continued development of Nukissiorfiit. We are in the midst of a challenging business development, where cost-effective and sustainable solutions are created for the benefit of our customers. The employees in the accounting department are important players in this work.

The accounting department consists of 14 employees and 2 trainees distributed across the departments of Payroll, Purchasing/Creditor, and Accounts Receivable and accounting controlling. The department heads for the individual departments report to the Chief Accountant.

The primary tasks include:

  • Management and quality assurance of ongoing accounts receivable maintenance

  • Ensuring reconciled data for use in the preparation of monthly, semi-annual, and annual accounts.

  • Participation in ad-hoc accounting tasks in connection with the rest of the finance department, including in connection with audits.

  • Case and authority handling of debtors in arrears

  • Contributing to the preparation of management reporting.

  • Setting up relevant internal controls.

Organization and process

  • Responsible for the development and optimization of the accounts receivable department's processes.

  • Participation in the further development of Nukissiorfiit's ERP system, especially the accounts receivable module.

  • Maintaining good relationships with other colleagues and contributing to knowledge sharing.

  • Delivery of monthly KPIs for the department and compliance with these.

Leadership

  • Professional and personal development of own employees.

  • Ensuring good collaboration between the accounts receivable department and Nukissiorfiit's other departments.

  • Creating a culture based on interdisciplinary collaboration among all own employees.

  • Relevant information sharing to employees, management, and colleagues.

The position reports to the Chief Accountant.

Your qualifications

It is essential that you have numerical understanding and experience working with finance and bookkeeping.

We also emphasize that you have:

  • A relevant professional education or practical experience that compensates for this.

  • A good knowledge of financial systems.

  • A good understanding of IT systems such as the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.

  • Insight into Greenlandic society.

  • Are adaptable, quick to learn, and can work independently.

  • Are outgoing, positive, and show commitment and have good collaboration skills.

Employment conditions and further information

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Naalakkersuisut and the relevant negotiating organization.

No housing is provided with the position, but if the applicant has already been assigned staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the staff housing is retained.

The employment is subject to a 3-month probation period.
