By agreement Full-time On-site 11 Aug 2026 Deadline: 31 Aug 2026

The library in Nuuk is looking for a digital literature communicator who can plan and convey cultural offerings. The position involves responsibility for social media, the website, and creative communications. Knowledge of Greenlandic culture and language is an advantage. Start date is October 1, 2026.

The library is not just a place for books; rather, we embrace a wide range of cultural offerings and activities that require fun, exciting, and engaging communication. Therefore, we are looking for a digital literature communicator who can generate ideas, plan, and convey our offerings with respect for language, culture, and identity. Start date is October 1, 2026, or by agreement.

You will be attached to the Experience Team, which is responsible for the library's events, exhibitions, and online presence. But you will collaborate broadly with all types of professional groups in the library, each having their role in the cultural and literature communication we do.

You will be responsible for our daily use of social media, website, and communication in the library space. We emphasize relevance, versatility, and quality – both in the purchase of books and their communication.

Additionally, we are working on several larger projects, including our Repair Café, a youth project, and an upcoming comic festival. You will be part of the marketing efforts for these.

Can you communicate in a fun, citizen-centered, and personal way?
Can you maintain an overview and structure across multiple platforms?
Can you think innovatively, creatively, and target-oriented?

Then you might be the one we are looking for.

Your tasks will mainly be

- Coordinator for the library's use of social media, including leader of our SoMe Dream Team, which creates fun and personal reels about daily life at the library

- Coordinator for our website group, which focuses on current and quality-assured content for our website

- Operation and development of our website katak.gl in collaboration with external suppliers

- Development of new concepts for SoMe and the website

- Communicate the library's materials broadly and creatively

- Update our touch search screens in the library space

- Have regular loan shifts during library opening hours. This will give you a broader understanding of the users and allow you to adapt our communication.

We expect that you

- Are a librarian DB/cand.scient.bibl., cand. mag or have another relevant education – relevant educations could be journalism, communication, cultural communication, etc.

- Have practical experience with communication on social media

- Can work in Canva with both graphics and video editing

- Possess technical skills and can learn to manage our website in collaboration with our website agency

- Have a flair for most IT (and preferably database work) and are willing to learn new things – if you already have experience with library systems, that is an extra plus

- Have experience with creative work and are filled with good ideas for creative communication

- Possess language skills both written and spoken at a high level

- Have respect for Greenlandic culture and will engage in the local community

Knowledge of the Greenlandic language will be an advantage, but not a requirement.

- A job with your finger on the pulse of Greenland's cultural life

- Good personal and professional development opportunities

- A workplace with camaraderie, openness, and an informal tone
