On behalf of Inussuk A/S, which maintains Pituffik Space Base, subcontractor V2X Services A/S is seeking a fiber and tetra technician in the Non-secure communication department.

The NSC department is responsible for the operation and planned maintenance of the Base's communication systems.

Primary tasks

• Ensure tetra installation functions and be responsible for periodic maintenance
• Program tetra radios as needed
• Participate in tetra courses
• Splicing of fiber
• Installation of ONT 7
• Pulling new fiber cables
• Project planning of fiber
• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment
• Documentation of completed projects and tasks

as well as other incidental tasks. Furthermore, participate in various projects and repairs as needed.

Qualifications and experience

• English level 2
• Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and installation of fiber
• Knowledge of fiber optic technology
• Certificate in OTDR
• Certificates in fiber
• Experience with PC registration is an advantage
• You can communicate in English and Danish at a conversational level

Danish citizenship is required for employment at the base, as well as a valid Danish or Greenlandic driver's license for passenger cars, security clearance, and a medical examination are also conditions.
