Operations employee for Nuuk & Buksefjorden

At Nukissiorfiit, we are looking for an electrician or an employee with an electrical background for our electricity production in Nuuk and at the Buksefjorden Hydropower Plant.

Here, you will be part of a team that ensures a stable electricity supply to Nuuk. You will have a versatile job with great independence, where you work with operation, maintenance, and development of some of Greenland's most important energy facilities.

About the job:

The position is split between Nuuk and Buksefjorden, where you will participate in a shift arrangement.

At Buksefjorden, you will always work with another employee on duty. Here, you are responsible for the daily operation of the hydropower plant and plan the tasks in collaboration with the team leader. It is a job with great freedom and an important responsibility – stable operation is crucial for the electricity supply to Nuuk.

When you work in Nuuk, you will primarily be involved in the operation of the reserve plant and solve tasks across electricity production.

Your tasks:

• Operation and monitoring of the hydropower plant in Buksefjorden
• Operation and maintenance of the reserve plant in Nuuk
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical installations
• Working with electric boilers and distribution networks
• Operation and maintenance of control, PLC, and SCADA systems
• Working with both low and high voltage installations
• Contributing to a safe and stable electricity supply

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained electrician or has a corresponding electrical background
• Is technically curious and eager to learn new things
• Can work independently and take responsibility
• Thrives in collaboration and contributes positively to the community
• Is flexible and ready to solve various tasks

It is an advantage if you have experience with PLC, SCADA, or control systems, but it is not a requirement.

Employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Greenlandic Government and the relevant negotiating organization. The position has a 3-month probation period.
