Inussuk A/S maintains and services Pituffik Space Base. As a mechanic, would you like to be involved in servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing all our rolling stock on the base? About Inussuk and what we offer

The workshop, Vehicle Maintenance, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all vehicles and rolling stock on the base from, among others, Caterpillar, Scania, Øveraasen, Hyster, Oshkosh, Mercedes, and Toyota. In addition, special vehicles such as ambulances, fire-fighting vehicles, snow removal equipment, tankers, AGE airport equipment, etc. A job that offers many varying and exciting challenges, not least due to the base's location in an Arctic climate but also due to the isolation and associated logistical challenges.

For the right person, there will also be an opportunity for further education in fire and fuel vehicles under the auspices of the American military.

This is a permanent position with employment and departure as soon as possible.

Tasks

You will be engaged in service repair and troubleshooting on light & heavy vehicles and airport equipment.

Competencies

• Trade certificate as possibly car, contractor, truck, or agricultural mechanic.
• Preferably experience with troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Preferably experience with the use of computer diagnostic equipment.
• Preferably experience with the manufacture of your own hydraulic hoses.
• Truck certificate is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Valid driver's license for at least category B is a requirement.
• Good English skills, as the work is carried out according to US Air Force specifications.
• Danish citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance for entry and residence on the base are required for employment.
