About the company
In the Department of Geology, we work to create the geological knowledge base that makes it possible to develop and manage Greenland's mineral resources in a responsible manner. We are part of the Mineral Authority under Naalakkersuisut, and our daily work ranges from practical fieldwork to professional advice, data management, and communication – always with Greenland's society and nature in mind.
A large part of our work involves providing geological advice in connection with raw material activities: license applications, standard terms, procedures, and specific geological assessments. At the same time, we carry out geological projects that contribute new knowledge and new data about the subsurface – and we help make that knowledge accessible to both decision-makers, industry stakeholders, and the public.
We also emphasize sharing the world of geology with the rest of Greenland. This can be through educational and communication activities, guidebooks, presentations, or collaborations with educational institutions and local actors. Here, you will experience an environment where professional curiosity and the desire to make complex knowledge practical is an important part of the culture.
As a colleague with us, you will become part of a small, specialized team with close collaboration across – both internally in the mineral sector and with national and international professional environments. We value quality, integrity, and knowledge sharing, and we thrive on solving tasks that require both professional depth, good collaboration skills, and an eye for the whole.
