A brief about Greenland's Self-Government
Greenland's Self-Government was introduced on June 21, 2009. The Self-Government consists of a Central Administration (CA), with approximately 650 employees distributed across 9 departments as well as a number of decentralized units. Together, we are more than 2500 people associated with the Self-Government.
The task of the CAs is to ensure the Naalakkersuisut (the Government areas) a solid political decision-making basis and to implement the political decisions. A highly prioritized area of effort is to build a more citizen-oriented public sector that reaches out to all our 56,000 residents.
