About Inulerivik
Inulerivik offers psychological and therapeutic treatment options for children, adolescents, and adults in mental distress. Additionally, the center provides specialized programs for adults who commit violence or have sexually abusive behavior or thoughts towards children and adolescents. The center works closely with municipal social workers throughout Greenland and plays a key role in national treatment and prevention efforts.
About the position
As an interpreter in Inulerivik, you will primarily be responsible for simultaneous and dialogue interpreting in the treatment units.
In addition, the interpreting team is to contribute to the Center's general efforts. The position is anchored in Inulerivik, where there is an opportunity to be part of a professionally strong team and thus the possibility for development and
implementation of the tasks assigned to the position.
Your primary tasks will be:

Support Inulerivik with dialogue interpretation/simultaneous interpretation

Translate written products from Danish to Greenlandic and vice versa in close collaboration with the Center.

Ad hoc tasks such as translations of inquiries to/from the municipalities

Has a relevant education.

Has knowledge of the social sector's terminology and can take responsibility for the agency's ongoing development of consistent professional terms across tasks.

Is flexible, service-minded, and can travel at short notice.

A casual and respectful tone in the workplace, even when we are busy.
The position is full-time (40 hours per week) and is located at our treatment center in Nuuk. Some travel activity can be expected in connection with the position.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as the relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
