Our client is a leading supplier of security systems and the latest EDS technology (Explosive Detection System). Therefore, the company's X-ray scanners are installed in many airports around the world – and now also in the new Greenlandic airports in Nuuk, Ilulissat, and Qaqortoq.
The company is seeking 2 technicians based in Nuuk and Ilulissat to service and maintain this equipment. Full product training will be provided at the company's dedicated training center in the United Kingdom.
Primary tasks:
· Service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving on the new X-ray machines.
· Ongoing monitoring of the equipment to ensure optimal uptime.
· Execution of both preventive and corrective maintenance on the installed equipment.
· Daily feedback/handovers to the service coordination team and the manager.
The tasks may change continuously in relation to the airport's needs. The position is full-time without a time limit, with an expected start as soon as possible.
Your profile:
You are a confident and independent person who can work without direct supervision, but with support from internationally based teams.
You have good communication skills and are used to customer contact.
You have a technical education, e.g. electrician, electronics mechanic, automation technician or similar.
You have practical experience as a service technician from a similar position.
You have knowledge of PLC controls and systems.
· You are fluent in Danish and English – both spoken and written.
You have a good technical understanding and a logical approach to troubleshooting.
You are flexible regarding working hours.
You are self-driven and work in a structured manner – even under pressure.
You can present a criminal record, 2 references (verbal) and undergo a background check that goes back 5 years.
You reside in either Nuuk or Ilulissat (Greenland).
Your work environment:
You will work in the "heart" of the airport in close collaboration with the customer and their operators.
There may eventually be a need for changing shifts, including evening and night shifts, but currently, the working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.
