Employee sought for the relief center in Nuuk

The Department of Disability and Social Psychiatry in the Welfare and Labor Market Administration

is looking for a night watchman for the Kammagiit Relief Center in Nuuk.

The relief center is a service for citizens with physical or mental disabilities. The location of the relief center is in Kammagiit Activity Center. The target group is citizens who temporarily need care in connection with the relief of relatives who provide a caregiving function. There will initially be 4 relief places, and the duration of the relief can be from 1 to 4 days, depending on need.

Your tasks:

·Ensure good night rest in the house

·Assist residents as needed

·Various practical tasks in the house

·You have experience working with people, preferably in the field

The Disability and Social Psychiatry in the adult area is a department where there are eight housing units, five housing collectives, two activity and socializing offers, a therapy team, and three Support Corps distributed in Nuuk, Tasiilaq, and Paamiut. We are undergoing a major development that includes a focus on thorough introduction of new employees, ongoing sparring, and professional communities.

Criminal record:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be with a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
