Aasiaat Police is looking for a committed and service-minded administrative employee who can help ensure a professional and welcoming service for citizens and partners.
You will be an important part of the daily operations at the police station, where you will work with interpretation, citizen service, and various administrative case processing tasks.
Start date: as soon as possible or by agreement
About Greenland Police
Aasiaat Police District includes Aasiaat Police Station, the police stations in Qeqertarsuaq and Qasigiannguit, as well as eight settlements.
Aasiaat Police Station handles the police's tasks in the city and also has a coordinating function across the district. The police station is staffed with a district leader, six police officers, two administrative employees, two boat drivers, and reserve officers.
In Qasigiannguit, there are two police officers and one administrative employee, while the police station in Qeqertarsuaq has three police officers.
As an administrative employee, you will be part of a workplace with high professionalism, a strong collegial community, and an informal tone. We help each other across professions and emphasize both well-being, collaboration, and professional development.
About the position
As an administrative employee at the Police Station in Aasiaat, you will have a versatile everyday life, where you will both have contact with citizens and solve administrative tasks that support the police's daily work.
Your primary tasks will include:
oral and written interpretation between Greenlandic and Danish
citizen service, including daily expeditions and guidance for citizens
administrative accounting tasks
case processing, including enforcement and paternity cases
registration and deregistration of vehicles
ordering and administration of passports and driver's licenses
responding to and forwarding inquiries via email and phone
ordering office supplies and other materials
other administrative ad hoc tasks
You will play a central role in the daily operations at the police station, and it is therefore important that you thrive in a varied workday, where tasks can shift from citizen service and interpretation to administrative matters and practical operational tasks.
About you
We are looking for a colleague who:
has a relevant office education, e.g., TNI, AU, or similar, or solid administrative experience from a similar position
works independently and structured while also thriving in close collaboration with colleagues
is service-minded, welcoming, and reliable, and can maintain an overview – even when it is busy
has good IT skills and can quickly familiarize themselves with new systems and workflows
masters both Greenlandic and Danish at a high level, both written and spoken
It is an advantage if you have experience with administrative work, case processing, citizen service, or interpretation, but the most important thing is that you are eager to learn, take responsibility for your tasks, and contribute positively to the workplace community.
We offer
At Aasiaat Police, you will receive:
an exciting and varied everyday life close to the police's core tasks
thorough training in your tasks and the police's IT systems
a strong collegial community with opportunities for sparring and professional development
You will be part of a smaller police station, where you will have a central role in the daily operations and close collaboration with police officers and other colleagues.
Salary and employment conditions

You will be employed with a workplace in Aasiaat. Since Greenland Police serves all of Greenland, travel activity may occur.
An unfurnished staff housing may be provided for the position. You will cover your own expenses for deposit, rent, and other ongoing housing costs. The size of the housing depends on the size of the household.
If you reside outside of Aasiaat, and there is a waiting period for staff housing, a furnished vacant housing may be made available during the waiting period. If there is also a waiting period for a vacant housing, there may be temporary accommodation in a hotel for a shorter period.
Free relocation of personal belongings and travel expenses for you and your household will be provided according to the applicable rules at any given time.
