Qeqqata Municipality is looking for a substitute for Prevention Consultant in Maniitsoq

In the leisure area under the Education Area in Maniitsoq, a position as a prevention consultant is available until the end of May 2027. The work of the prevention consultant involves broad preventive and health-promoting projects in close collaboration with relevant agencies in the town and in the settlements
Professionally, the prevention consultant reports to the leisure inspector under the Education Area in Maniitsoq.

Responsibilities:

Manage, plan, and develop preventive and health-promoting projects that are established and approved by the prevention committee in the town and settlement.

-Secretary for the prevention committee.

-To work on suicide prevention

-To assist in coordinating and arranging lectures and similar regarding prevention for institutions, schools, and associations in close consultation with them.

-To coordinate the holding of week 18, week 22, and week 46 as well as marked days in Qeqqata Municipality.

-Alcohol and crime prevention work and prevention, as well as development.

Qualifications

You have a relevant education in the social and health sector or have a similar education or have insight into gambling addiction, alcohol, and substance abuse.

You can work independently, have initiative, drive, and overview.

You are able to coordinate work in the town and settlements.

You have experience with planning and follow-up.

You have good collaboration skills and a good sense of humor.

You are open and outgoing with the ability to convey the message.

You are bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreements. Housing is provided, for which rent etc. is paid according to applicable rules.

Child certificate

Positions are covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has obtained a child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police.

Employment is subject to satisfactory child and criminal record checks, which are obtained by Qeqqata Municipality.

Start as soon as possible or by agreement.

In the event of a potential employment, a child certificate and criminal record check will be obtained.
