In Avannaata Municipality in Kullorsuaq, the position of prevention consultant is available for appointment as of November 1, 2026 or by further agreement.

The work as a prevention consultant will involve the following areas of responsibility:

·Coordination of interdisciplinary preventive efforts in the village.

·Responsible for implementing and following up on the municipality's prevention policy, as well as the Children & Youth policy.

·Co-responsible for establishing a preventive activity plan in the village.

·Coordinate existing resources.

·Initiate concrete preventive measures.

·Concrete information work in schools and institutions.

·Cooperate with associations and volunteer work on preventive activities.

·Responsible for evaluating and following up on local projects.

·Coordinator and secretary for the work in the prevention committee.

·Actively participate in evaluations regarding prevention work in Greenland.

Your qualifications:

Must be interested in the area of prevention work and have the willingness to actively participate in the development of the preventive efforts in the municipality.

Must have a basic education in the social or health field or have some other relevant education.

Additionally, you must:

·Be outgoing, including having the ability to communicate over local radio and TV.

·Be inspiring

·Have an overview.

·Have good collaboration skills.

·Be able to coordinate work in the town and the associated 4 villages.

·Be bilingual.

·Have experience with planning and follow-up work.

·Be flexible.

·Be able to formulate proposals regarding prevention initiatives for the politicians.

Salary and employment conditions:

The position is classified as a civil servant-like position. A discretionary amount of DKK 3,000.00 per month is added.

No staff housing is provided for the position

Employment is subject to a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. These will be obtained by the hiring authority with the employee's written consent, after which the hiring authority will request these from the National Police.
