Night porter

Are you a night owl with an overview, sense of responsibility, and a knack for good service?

When most others go to bed, hotel life continues.

At Hotel Nordbo, we are looking for a stable and service-minded night porter who is eager to take responsibility for the hotel and our guests during the night hours.

You will be the person our guests meet when they arrive late, need assistance during the night, or get up early to move on. Therefore, we are looking for someone who thrives on working independently, remains calm, and understands the value of a smile and good service – even at three in the morning.

Your everyday life – or rather your night – at Hotel Nordbo

As a night porter, you are responsible for the reception and the hotel at night. There may be quiet periods, but you must also be ready to act when needed.

Your tasks will include:

• welcoming and checking in late arriving guests
• assisting guests with questions and practical needs during the night
• handling bookings and working in our booking system Spectra
• answering phone calls and inquiries
• ensuring calm, order, and safety at the hotel
• preparing the reception and relevant information for the next day
• solving minor administrative and practical tasks
• handling unforeseen situations in a calm and professional manner
• ensuring a good handover to the morning shift

Who are you?

We do not require that you have many years of hotel experience. The most important thing is that you are a person we can trust.

You should be comfortable working independently and able to make decisions when the rest of the organization is not necessarily at hand.

We envision that you:

• are stable, responsible, and punctual
• thrive on working at night
• can work independently and maintain an overview
• are calm and solution-oriented – even when something unexpected arises
• are welcoming and naturally service-minded
• have a general flair for IT and administrative tasks
• speak Danish and English – Greenlandic is a big plus
• preferably have experience from hotel, reception, service, or similar, but it is not a requirement

If you are not familiar with Spectra, we will of course provide training.
