About QUPANUK
The nursing home QUPANUK has space for 44 residents, in addition, there are two respite places. The nursing home is divided into several departments, including a dementia department.
We are focused on creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our residents and emphasize high professional quality, care, well-being, and development. As an employee, you will be part of a workplace in development, where collaboration and engagement are highly valued.
Your tasks
- Preparation of food for the nursing home residents.
- Preparation of food for citizens receiving meal service in Sisimiut.
- Preparation of food for employees.
- Planning and organizing cooking and baking.
- Preparation of special diets and meals.
- Participation in purchasing and menu planning.
- Shared responsibility for the kitchen's daily operations, cleaning, and dishwashing.
- Contribute to health-promoting and preventive efforts.
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with the care departments, home help, and other partners.
- Act as a substitute for the kitchen manager when needed.
We expect that you
- Are a trained nutrition assistant.
- Have experience from a large kitchen or similar work area.
- Work independently and in a structured manner.
- Are stable, responsible, and flexible.
- Have good collaboration skills and meet others with respect and openness.
- Enjoy working with elderly people.
- Can handle busy situations and maintain an overview.
- Have a desire to contribute to the development of the nursing home QUPANUK.
Working hours
Shifts are worked every day of the week with an average working time of 40 hours per week. Overtime may occur in connection with special events.
Salary and employment terms
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant professional organization.
Housing may be provided, with rent paid according to applicable rules.
