IT Consultant in Qeqqata Municipality – with a focus on digitization and development

Location: Sisimiut

Qeqqata Municipality is looking for an engaged and solution-oriented IT consultant for our IT department in Sisimiut. You will become part of a team that, together with the upcoming IT and Digitalization Manager, will drive the municipality's digital transformation and optimize our workflows through innovative solutions.

About the position

As an IT consultant, you will be a key person in maintaining and developing the municipality's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT and Digitalization Manager and the rest of the team to ensure stable operations, as well as actively contribute to the municipality's digital strategy, where we focus on creating smarter solutions for citizens and the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and optimization of the municipality's IT installation with a focus on digitization and

              efficient operations.

• Installation, support, and updating of hardware and software.
• IT support and skills development of users aimed at increasing digital understanding.
• Contribute to digitization projects, including the implementation of new systems and processes.
• Resolution of ad-hoc tasks and participation in projects within IT and digitization.
• Training and guidance of interns in the IT field in Sisimiut.

Qualifications

We are looking for an IT consultant who:

• Has documented experience with network configuration, including Windows Server and client platforms.
• Is proficient in Microsoft Office and has experience working with iPads at the user level.
• Can solve complex network and client issues.
• Has experience with or interest in digitization projects and optimizing workflows through technology.
• Can work structured and collaborate effectively in a team.
• Is creative, detail-oriented, and has good communication skills.
• Is proficient in multiple languages – Greenlandic, Danish, and English.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with applicable agreements between Naalakkersuisut and the relevant professional organization. Housing can be provided according to applicable rules.

Criminal record

Employment is conditional on receiving a satisfactory criminal record. Employment can only begin once the certificate has been received by the municipality.
