Vuggestuen Meeraq

In the Nursery Meeraq, we create a safe and close everyday life for the youngest children in Paamiut. Here, the children are met with calm, care, and clear adults who see each individual child and give space for both curiosity, play, and small personal victories throughout the day.

We are a municipal nursery under Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, and our pedagogical work is based on a recognition approach. This means that we consciously work with relationships and provide the children with an experience of being heard, understood, and valued – while also supporting their development in close collaboration with the parents.

Everyday life with us is about community and professionalism. We lift together, help each other in the rooms, and focus on ensuring that the children have a coherent day with good routines, warm relationships, and safe frameworks – even when it is busy.

As a workplace, Meeraq is a place where you become part of a team that takes children's lives seriously and works for quality in the pedagogical work. We value colleagues who want to contribute, share knowledge, and help create an everyday life where both children and adults thrive.
