At Utoqqaat Illuat, we work every day to create a safe and dignified everyday life for the elderly in Nuuk. We are a nursing home under Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, and our most important task is to provide residents with care, presence, and stability – regardless of whether they live with us permanently or are with us for a shorter period.

The house is divided into several departments, so we can adapt everyday life to different needs – including a special focus on the dementia area and places for respite. This means that you as an employee become part of an environment where we collaborate closely across professions, and where we constantly pay attention to both well-being, professionalism, and development in care.

What characterizes us is a strong community and a culture where we take care of each other. We emphasize presence, good collaboration, mutual respect, job satisfaction, and clear communication – because we know that a good workday for employees also creates a better everyday life for residents.

We also have a kitchen that prepares food for the residents – and at the same time delivers meals to pensioners in the city when it has been authorized. For us, it is about more than just practical tasks: It is about quality of life, relationships, and being part of making a difference in people's lives, every single day.
