Ungaavaraq

At Ungaavaraq, we work every day to create a safe, warm, and educational everyday life for the youngest in Nuuk – close to the center. We are an integrated daycare institution where presence, clear frameworks, and good well-being go hand in hand with play, learning, and development.

In everyday life, we emphasize a calm environment with mutual respect – both between children and adults. We meet the child as equals and with an eye for each child's needs, pace, and curiosity, and we consciously work to give the children good experiences with community, language, and social relationships.

We focus on health and good habits in everyday life – among other things through hygiene, healthy meals, and activities that suit the children's age and energy. At the same time, we prioritize planned activities that create familiarity and give the children the opportunity to explore the world in a safe way.

As a workplace, Ungaavaraq is a place where you become part of a team that helps each other and takes the task of the children's everyday life seriously. Here, there is room for professionalism, reflection, and development – and for you to be part of creating the good moments that mean the most for children and families.
