The Greenland Climate Research Centre (GCRC)

At The Greenland Climate Research Centre (GCRC), we work in the midst of what occupies the world right now: how climate change is altering Greenland – and what it means for both nature, ecosystems, and people. We are located in Nuuk and are part of the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, where we combine strong research with a clear anchoring in Greenlandic realities and needs.

Our everyday life is characterized by curiosity, professionalism, and collaboration across disciplines. We research, among other things, the interaction between glaciers and the ocean, sea ice, marine ecosystems, seabed, and long-term monitoring – and we also work with the connection between climate and society. This means that you as a colleague can get close to both fieldwork, data, analysis, and communication, depending on your profile.

We are an international workplace with a close collegial environment, where there is a short path from idea to action, and where collaboration with both local actors and international partners is a natural part of the tasks.
