Støttekorpset Paamiut, Kommueqarfik Sermersooq

In the Support Corps in Paamiut, we are part of the Municipality of Sermersooq's Disability and Social Psychiatry, and our everyday life is about creating more safety, stability, and quality of life for citizens with physical and/or mental disabilities. We meet people where they are – and we work to turn support into opportunities in everyday life.

For us, the relationship is the most important working tool. This means that we emphasize being present, welcoming, and respectful in our contact with citizens – and that we help in a way that supports the citizen's own resources. The tasks may vary, but what is common is that we work with care and professionalism, and that we focus on making everyday life work in practice.
