At Sikuki Nuuk Harbour A/S, we work with some of the most fundamental aspects in Greenland: getting ships, cargo, and people safely in and out of the country. We operate and develop the port facilities in Nuuk and are also the port authority in Nuuk – and we also manage the operations of the port in Kangerlussuaq on behalf of the Self-Government. This means that our everyday life is closely tied to supply, fishing, tourism, construction, and the maritime infrastructure that the entire community depends on.

The port is a place with pace, responsibility, and many stakeholders. Our tasks range from ongoing operations and planning to service and maintenance – and we collaborate with everyone from shipping companies and contractors to authorities and local actors. A large part of our activity also involves creating good conditions for customers and tenants through land leasing, buildings, and equipment, so there is room for both daily operations and future development.

As a workplace, we are a smaller team with a wide range of tasks, where one quickly feels that their efforts make a difference. We help each other across functions, take responsibility for quality and safety, and we have a culture where decency and collaboration are crucial – especially when we need to be ready to handle both the daily operations and the situations that require extra preparedness.
