Paarisa

At Paarisa, we work for a healthier and safer Greenland – especially for children and young people. We are the Prevention Department under the Social Agency, and our daily work is about translating knowledge, data, and experiences into concrete initiatives that can be felt in the local communities.

You will encounter a workplace where the purpose is clear: health promotion and primary prevention within both the social and health professional areas. We manage and support initiatives in areas such as mental health, alcohol and smoking, diet and physical activity, sexual health, and suicide prevention – and we have a strong focus on strengthening preventive work across sectors.

A large part of our work is to bridge gaps between actors and create collaborations that last in practice. Therefore, partnerships and interdisciplinary coordination are significant – also in relation to volunteer work in the child sector and national strategies, where implementation and local anchoring are crucial.
