Nuuk Kunstmuseum
About the company
At Nuuk Art Museum, we work with what can be felt – stories, identity, and curiosity – conveyed through Greenlandic art and crafts. Our museum is a place where both locals and visitors get a close encounter with Greenland's art scene, from classical works to contemporary art that puts words and images to life in the Arctic.
We are located in a historic building that today provides a warm and intimate framework for the museum's collection and changing exhibitions. Here, you are allowed to get very close to the works and the people who create them – and we emphasize that the museum feels open and welcoming, whether you are visiting for the first time or know the place inside and out.
Everyday life with us is about creating good experiences for our guests and strong collaborations with artists, schools, and cultural actors. We work with exhibitions, events, and communication – and we love when the museum buzzes with conversations, questions, and new perspectives.
As a workplace, we are a small, professional environment with a great love for art and for Nuuk. We help each other across tasks, and we thrive on the fact that the days can be different: one day it is exhibition work and preparation, another day it is the meeting with the audience and the good host role that is in focus.
